Daten: 10004020, ICP-17: Water Analysis Using the SPECTRO ICP-OES
Kurz: The application of ICP-OES for the multielement-analysis of water has gained high popularity for a wide variety of application fields. This report demonstrates that the new SPECTRO CIROS CCDTM double-grating CCD-spectrometer has all the required analytical capabilities to analyze water with high precision and accuracy along with excellent sensitivity and analysis speed. The calibration strategy and line selection for the analysis of unpolluted waters is described. The recoveries of the elements were found to be good for the standard reference material NIST SRM 1643d. The limits of detection for 54 elements are listed. The typical detection limits range between 0.01-20 µg/L. Contradicting the conviction that non-metal determinations cannot be performed by ICP-OES, the simultaneous determination of metals and non-metals is demonstrated. The halogens Cl, Br, I, and the non-metals P, S were determined using their intense spectral lines in the VUV range, between 134 nm and 180 nm.
