Kleve, January 6, 1999. Similar to previous acquisitions the agreement was concluded through Spectro’s holding company – Spectro Beteiligungs GmbH.
SPECTRUMA has a long-standing industry reputation in the design, development and manufacturing of Glow Discharge Spectrometers for surface treatment analysis. Most recently SPECTRUMA demonstrated its innovative leadership with the introduction of the industry’s first CCD based GD Spectrometer with an entry level pricing of less than half of what conventional equipment would cost.
"The addition of GD spectrometers to our Arc/Spark series of products place Spectro in an unparalleled position to address more than ever before our customers needs no matter what, and no matter where they may be," emphasized Manfred Bergsch – Spectro’s Managing Director for Sales and Marketing.
This latest in a series of strategic moves concluded a busy year for Spectro which began with the July acquisition of Texas based Asoma Instruments, followed by the acquisition of the mobile Arc/Spark innovator Polycon in December.
Spectro Analytical Instruments designs, manufactures and markets, state of the art Spectrometers and process control solutions for a wide range of customers and applications. Since its founding 20 years ago, Spectro has developed internationally into the industry innovator in Optical Emission Spectrometry with more 10,000 instruments sold world-wide.
