Kleve, February 27, 2001. SPECTRO announced the appointment of Tom Bloomer as Vice President of Marketing.
Mr. Bloomer joins SPECTRO with over 15 years of management experience in the instrument industry, including his most recent position as Vice President of Marketing and Customer Support for Biotage, Inc., A Dyax Corp. Company. In this newly created role at SPECTRO, Mr. Bloomer will oversee the company's global marketing activities.

Mr. Bloomer, a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University also held the position of General Manager at The Foxboro Company for Foxboro Environmental (IR monitoring instrumentation) and Foxboro NMR (process NMR instrument) within the Analytical Instrument Division of Siebe, plc (today Invensys). During his five years with Siebe he significantly increased sales and overall company profitability and successfully launched numerous breakthrough products, including the world's first process NMR system. Prior to joining The Foxboro Company, Mr. Bloomer held Sales and Service management positions with Perstorp Analytical, Inc., and Beckman Instruments.
